A sacred grief circle tending the motherline through its many forms.
About this Event

.Hosted by the Denver Deathcare Collective. Where grief is tended and death is sacred.

These monthly grief circles at Sakala Community are a compassionate space to hold your sorrow in the embrace of community.

This month, Lex Chamizo of Unveil with Lex will guide our circle in a gentle space to tend to the grief of the Motherline in its many forms. Mourning the mothers and grandmothers we lost. The baby conceived but not birthed. The one still longing to conceive. The relationship with a mother we longed for but never received. The mother that is dying and already being grieved. The women in our lineage whose names we may not know — but whose love, and whose pain, lives on in our blood.
This month's grief circle is an invitation to tend that thread.

What to Expect

Our time together will include:

• Grounding practices and tea to open and root into the space
• Energetic cord tending through guided Reiki with optional AcuDetox
• Moving grief through expression, space to write letters or poetry
• Compassionate witnessing, shared reflections, and community support
We will also turn toward the Great Mother herself — the land, the earth, the body that holds us all — and remember that we are never truly without her.

You are invited to participate in whatever way feels most supportive for you. Sharing is always optional.
We will close our circle by honoring through song.
This circle is for anyone who carries the weight of the motherline in their body and is ready to tend it — even just for a little while — in community.

Come as you are. Bring what you carry. You will not be alone in it <3

Participants are invited to bring:
• Photo(s) of who you are grieving, honoring, remembering
• A meaningful mug
• A journal/pen
• An offering that we can return to the earth (this can be a favorite flower or fruit of your loved one(s)

A Note on Accessibility.
