In Search of Beethoven is a deeply personal and compelling account of John Suchet’s lifelong relationship with the great composer. Following Beethoven’s journey from his early years in Bonn to his final days in Vienna, Suchet walks in the composer’s footsteps while interweaving his own remarkable story 🌍📖.
Drawing on research from Cambridge University and the Max Planck Institute, Suchet offers fresh insights into Beethoven’s heritage, health struggles, and defining life events — including his encounters with Mozart 🎶.
As a former foreign correspondent and news anchor, Suchet reflects on how Beethoven’s music has accompanied him through the best and worst of times, delivering a talk that is warm, engaging, and deeply human, in the style of a true master storyteller 💬✨.
📚 Following the talk, John Suchet’s book on Beethoven will be available for purchase at £7 (approximately 40% off RRP) and signed by the author.
