Weight loss surgery support groups have been shown to directly increase the chances of short and long-term patient success following bariatric surgery.
We offer TWO free monthly support groups (one in-person and one online):
Our bariatric partner, LBS Nutrition, led by Lauren Carey, RDS, CLT, facilitates the group, supported by board-certified bariatric surgeon Dr. Seun Sowemimo.
This group is a safe place to share feelings, ask clinical and personal questions, seek advice and receive encouragement and support from like-minded members.
Meetings focus on learning new relationships with food and introducing or rebuilding an exercise and fitness strategy, which goes hand-in-hand with the fastest and most effective path to long-term weight loss.
A typical support session begins with a presentation and discussion on a relevant topic. Time is saved at the end of every meeting for patients to ask questions.
