Improving Wait Times for Neurodiverse CYP with Stratification & Shared Care

Across many services, children and young people are frequently waiting longer than 52 weeks for ND assessments, impacting outcomes for them and increasing pressure across the wider system. The Cheshire & Merseyside ND Programme has been exploring options to reduce waiting times and improve access to care, with a focus on effective risk stratification and shared care.

In this half-day event, we invite providers to:

• Discuss the findings of a recent provider survey identifying gaps, pressures and needs within CYP ND pathways.
• Explore the role of stratification and shared care in improving access and outcomes.
• Hear case studies on successful application of risk stratification frameworks.
• Take part in a practical interrater reliability exercise to ensure accuracy and validity across services.

Venue: Lecture Theatre 2 (Will Watterson Room), Institute in the Park, Alder Hey, Eaton Road, Liverpool, L12 2AP

Start time: Registration begins at 1.30pm for a 1.50pm start.

Refreshments: Tea and coffee will be served on arrival and during the mid-afternoon comfort break. Lunch is not provided, but there are several options within the Institute and on the hospital campus.
