Let's Play! Continue your Improv adventure with new games, scenes, and a deeper understanding of the pricipals and practices our philosophy
About this Event
Using the philosophy of improvisation learned in Improv 100, you will learn to tell new types of stories, explore new games, and create scenes of greater complexity and more authenticity.
You will explore theatre games, such as those created by Viola Spolin as well as the games you see regularly in Seattle TheatreSports, to learn what lies behind them and how they can teach you to be a better listener, a more relaxed creative, and a more vibrant storyteller. Plus... it's a lot of fun!
Date and Time: 8 weeks, 8 Tuesdays, Sep 29 to Nov 17, 7:00pm to 9:30pm
Location: 650 S Orcas St, Room 217, Seattle, WA, 98108
Age Requirements: 18+
Prerequisites: Unexpected Productions Improv 100
Maximum Students: 16
About the Teacher: Leona Partridge celebrates more than 30 years as an improviser and 25 years as an educator of Improvisational Theater. She has performed in festivals and international shows alongside world leaders and innovators of improv. As a member of the Applied Improvisation Network, she has trained professional workers in health care, business, and education to use improv skills in their work.
Leona has worked 32 years as an Registered Nurse, is a Seattle real estate agent, and has been an ensemble member at Unexpected Productions since 1998. She enjoys teaching improv to all ages—from middle school to senior adults and everyone in between. It brings her joy to share the skills of improv and watch her students grow in the power of play!
