KUOW Book Talks with Author Amy Bowers Cordalis

Join KUOW’s Katie Campbell in conversation with Amy Bowers Cordalis, author of The Water Remembers. In the Pacific Northwest, the story of salmon is deeply intertwined with the history of the Indigenous peoples who have long called this region home. Amy Bowers Cordalis, a member of the Yurok Tribe in Northern California, comes from generations of advocates who have fought to protect salmon and defend tribal rights to land, water, and sovereignty. In conversation with Katie Campbell, Cordalis will discuss carrying forward the Yurok Tribe’s 170-year fight for justice and environmental stewardship.
