About this Event
Enjoy the Japanese art of ikebana, where floral arrangement becomes more than simply arranging flowers in a vase, at Ikebana: Party with Shakuyaku 芍薬 on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m.-noon or 1-3 p.m. in the Mansion Carriage House. (Both classes will cover the same material)
Join the for an introduction to the philosophy of ikebana—meaning “make flowers come alive”—and explore techniques that transform cut flowers into vibrant arrangements highlighting each bloom’s natural beauty and harmony.
$50/person (Ages 13+). Registration will close May 9 or when capacity is reached. All sales are final.

About the instructor
All instructors are members of Illinois Prairie Ikenobo Chapter and are certified by Ikenobo Ikebana Headquarters in Kyoto, Japan. Experience ranges from 2 to 35 years practicing and teaching Ikenobo Ikebana.
