Ian Clayton has enjoyed beer and public houses for fifty years. He wanted to write a memoir about the unique British institution we call 'the pub' which shares the stories, the humour. the friendship and the history to be found there. His book won him the prestigious British Guild of Beer Writers award for best writing about beer and pubs. In this talk he will bring the book to life with a performance of some of the stories and talk about his passion for the local.
