I Scream Social is celebrating the new year with an inspiring line-up of poets, featuring SG Huerta, Kayti Lahsaiezadeh, and Dominique Lilac! Bring your hopes, dreams, and a fresh poem for the open mic! 

Presented by Host Publications, I Scream Social is a monthly feminist reading series and ice cream party that takes place at Alienated Majesty Books. We aim to celebrate and empower historically marginalized writers and share incredible literature and diverse perspectives to an Austin-area audience. Dominique Lilac is a trans, neurodivergent bundle of energy hailing from Buda, Texas. While she is relatively new to public poetry readings, she is more than honored to be reading a few of her favorite poems with you all tonight. Aside from odd jobs and occasional sex work, her hobbies include reading and writing, watching artistic and slightly pornographic films with her best friend Amber, and spending hours on painstakingly styling fashion doll hair.

Kayti Lahsaiezadeh has eyes and a face. Born and raised in southern California, she is currently a second year poetry candidate at the New Writers Project.

SG Huerta is a queer Xicanx writer and organizer. Their debut poetry collection Burns is out with Sundress Publications in January 2026. They encourage you to find tangible ways to support Palestinian liberation.
