Join us for a special edition of Smoke’n Mic Night featuring a Poetry Slam + Open Mic: an electrifying evening of artistry, expression, competition, and unforgettable live performances where creativity ignites and flows freely.
This isn't just another open mic night, "IT'S A FULL-ON VIBE & THE PERFECT PRE-GAME."
Watch 8 poets compete across 2 rounds for a $200 cash prize pool, while our Open Mic keeps the stage moving with a mix of music, storytelling, comedy, rap, R&B, and other creative performances.
Whether you’re competing for the crown, stepping up to the Open Mic, or simply coming to enjoy the show, Smoke’n Mic Night is all about creativity, connection, and community.

📍 Where: Spinners (Pop-Up Location)
📅 When: Friday, September 18, 2026
🕖 Time: 7:00 PM–10:00 PM | Show starts at 7:30 PM
🎟️ Admission: $10 + fees
🔞 Age Requirement: 24+ only
💺 Seating: First come, first served — arrive early to secure your spot.
POETRY SLAM
8 POETS • 2 ROUNDS • 1 CHAMPION
Eight poets will Bring the Heat and compete for a $200 cash prize pool:
🥇 1st Place: $100
🥈 2nd Place: $60
🥉 3rd Place: $40
All 8 poets compete in Round 1, with the Top 5 advancing to the Championship Round.
And because this is Smoke’n Mic Night, there’s a twist. Round 1 competitors will have opportunities to earn bonus points along the way.

OPEN MIC
The Open Mic brings the variety that makes Smoke’n Mic Night what it is.
8 guaranteed performance spots • Up to 3 minutes each
For this special edition, guaranteed Open Mic spots will be prioritized for singers, musicians, rappers, comedians, storytellers, and other non-poetry performers so we can showcase a dynamic mix of creative talent.
Poets are still welcome! Non-Slam poets may join the Open Mic Poet Only Waitlist and will be invited to perform as space and time allow. A General Admission ticket is required.
Poetry Slam competitors may not also participate in the Open Mic.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
🔥 Poetry Slam: Register for one of 8 competition spots and compete for a share of the $200 cash prize pool.
🎤 Open Mic: Register for one of 8 guaranteed performance spots and get up to 3 minutes to share your craft.
✍🏾 Non-Slam Poets: Join the Open Mic Poet Only Waitlist for an opportunity to perform as space and time allow. General Admission is required.
