Beloved NPR correspondent John Burnett brings his Bluesette Trio back to the newly renovated Crescent Room at Chez Zee for a special night with friends. The trio—featuring Burnett on jazz and blues harmonica, bassist Nicholas Davis, guitarist Andrew Baird and for this performance, two-time Grammy winner Floyd Domino on Chez Zee's famous Red Piano. Vocalist Margaret Justus will sit in on a few songs too.
DINNER AND A SHOW
Doors open at 6:30pm. Music begins at 7:00pm.
First Music set: 7:00–7:45pm (ish)
Second Music set: 8:00–9:45pm
Reserve your dinner seats for one set or stay for both. This is a supperclub experience—enjoy exceptional food, drinks, and live jazz and Texas blues that only Austin can deliver.
DINNER SEATING OPTIONS (CHART BELOW)
- Terrace Seats $5: Terrace seating is located along the back wall of the room. Tables 13 and 20 are obstructed view, tucked slightly around the corner.
- Crescent Seats $10: Best seats in the house, near the band, up close to all the action. There really are no "bad" seats in the place.
- TBD - 2nd Half Seats $5: As we sell our reserved seats, we will begin posting available 2nd half-only seats, nbased on availability.
DINNER MENU OPTIONS
- Optional Prix Fixe menu (below) with fresh bread and beverage service, choice of salads and your choice from some of our top-selling entrees $40.
- Order from our Friday Night Menu with options ranging from burgers and pastas to fresh seafood or prime rib. We ask that you plan to spend $40 minimum, per person.
Prefer to just listen without buying dinner? We welcome you to make a standard reservation in the bar, just outside of Crescent Room, to create the night you really want.

A special note: This performance marks exactly 30 years since Lawrence Wright took his very first piano lesson from Floyd Domino. Three decades later, teacher and student reunite.
