This 5-week Beginners Charleston Course is perfect for anyone wanting to have a go at learning the cheeky Charleston– THE dance craze of the 1920’s and a popular favourite on Strictly Come Dancing . Importantly, you need't have dance experience to enjoy this class . Just the will to have a go !
Class is 6.15-7.15 pm for a duration of 5 weeks
During this course you will learn the learning the following:
- The basic Charleston step: 'Jay Bird'
- How to 'Swivel' your feet during your basic step
- A selection of classic solo Charleston moves and gestures
- A fun, bouncy, energetic routine over the 5 weeks that links your newfound moves together :)
Dancing the Charleston is addictive, uplifting and fun!
It will lift your mood, give you a good cardio workshop, develop your dance ability and musicality, and give you the opportunity to make a whole new circle of friends!
After your beginners course you are very welcome to join our regular I Can Charleston Class which is an open level class on a Thursday evening , 7.30- 8.30 pm. In this class you will advance your repertoire of Charleston steps and work on routines which are often performed to the public at events :)
