About this Event
Samuel Morris Brown, MD—physician leader, medical researcher, and cultural historian—is Professor of Medicine at Intermountain Health/Univiersity of Utah. Trained at Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Brown researches and writes at the interfaces among medicine, religion, culture, and history. Dr. Brown will lecture on Humanism in Medicine from his book Through the Valley of Shadows: Living Wills, Intensive Care, and Making Medicine Human which provides a careful analysis and manifesto for reform of modern intensive care that acknowledges the human realities experienced by those who participate in modern critical care.
Samuel Morris Brown, MD will have a book signing after the conclusion of his lecture.
