About this Event
Michael Leavitt served as the 14th governor of Utah from 1993 to 2003, and in the George W. Bush administration as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from 2003 to 2005 and as Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) from 2005 to 2009. As HHS Secretary, he oversaw the implementation of Medicare Part D, developed the National Pandemic Plan, promoted value-based healthcare, mitigated the effects of Hurricane Katrina, and reauthorized SCHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) and TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). Mike Leavitt has an uncanny ability to see the future and lead change. You will not want to miss the lunch fireside chat Q&A, Lessons in Leadership and Value-Based Healthcare with Governor Mike Leavitt interviewed by 2025 OSMS President Adam Taintor, MD.
Governor Michael Leavitt will be having a book signing after the lecture concludes.
