2 hours, hands-on small group machine sewing class. Intermediate level: must have experience threading a sewing machine, loading & winding a bobbin and sewing a straight stitch.
In this introduction to hemming class, you will learn how to pin, measure, mark, cut and sew a basic rolled hem on a sewing machine.
Have a pair of pants or dress, made of non-stretch material, with a straight hem that you are hoping to shorten? Bring that along too!
We have portable sewing machines that you can borrow if you don’t currently have one, please note you want to use a studio machine when it asks for the make/model during sign up. If you have your own machine please bring that to class, along with your power cord/pedal, manual (if you have it) and an empty bobbin or two.
