In this 2-hour, machine sewing class, you will learn how to repair denim using patching and darning techniques.Students must have experience threading a sewing machine, loading & winding a bobbin and sewing a straight stitch to take this class.
Extra needles and scrap denim will be provided. Please bring along your jeans if you already have a pair in need of some love. Note: An article of clothing is NOT required to participate as we will have practice materials for you to use as needed.
We have portable sewing machines that you can borrow if you don’t currently have one. Please note that you’d like to use a studio machine when prompted for the make/model of your machine during sign-up. If you have your own machine, please bring that to class along with your power cord/pedal, manual (if you have it) and an empty bobbin or two.
