Clinic Format and ApproachThis clinic is designed to help riders develop clarity, confidence, and effective communication with their horse through a structured integration of biomechanics, horsemanship skills, and nervous system awareness.
The foundation of this work is built on the understanding that horses respond not only to physical aids, but to the rider’s level of internal clarity, balance, and presence. When riders develop greater awareness of their own posture, timing, and nervous system state, the horse is able to respond with greater softness, confidence, and willingness.
Each clinic day includes a progressive combination of mounted exercises, groundwork, and practical horsemanship challenges designed to improve both horse and rider. Riders will work through carefully structured exercises that develop balance, responsiveness, and communication, while also building the rider’s confidence and feel.
Obstacle work and environmental exercises are incorporated to provide real-world scenarios that strengthen trust, leadership, and adaptability. These exercises allow riders to develop greater emotional stability and direction while helping the horse learn to remain confident and responsive in changing environments.
This format allows riders to improve technical skills while also developing the internal stability and clarity that horses naturally seek in a leader.
Instruction is individualized to meet each horse and rider combination at their current level. The focus is not on forcing outcomes, but on helping riders develop the awareness and timing necessary to create lasting, voluntary change in the horse.
The goal of this clinic is to help riders build a stronger, more confident partnership with their horse while developing the clarity, courage, and feel that allows both horse and rider to move forward together.
Spaces will be limited to ensure quality instruction and individualized attention.
