Join us for Horse Wisdom, an equine-assisted healing experience held on the ancient healing lands of Heartwood Farm in the Byron Bay Hinterland, guided by equine-assisted therapy practitioner, trauma-informed yoga teacher and counsellor Maxime Willems.This gentle, immersive morning invites you to slow down, step out of the mind, and enter into meaningful connection with horses as wise, intuitive guides. Horses live in a state of present-moment awareness and offer profound insight into our emotional world, patterns of relating, and nervous system responses - without judgement or words.
Through guided, ground-based interactions with horses (no riding involved), mindful awareness practices, and moments of reflection, participants are supported to cultivate presence, curiosity and authentic connection - with themselves, with others, and with the living world around them.
Horse Wisdom is not about doing or fixing. It is an invitation to be - to listen deeply, notice what arises, and allow the horses to gently mirror what is ready to be seen, felt and integrated.
THE WISDOM OF HORSES
Horses are highly sensitive, relational beings who respond honestly to what we carry within. Their ability to attune to subtle shifts in emotion, energy and intention makes them powerful co-facilitators in emotional healing and self-discovery.

Equine-assisted healing experience (all activities are ground-based)

No prior experience with horses is required
