About this Event
Hooks & Hops: Beginner Crochet Workshop is a welcoming, hands-on class for anyone who wants to learn how to crochet in a relaxed and social setting at York Beach Beer Company in York, Maine. No previous crochet experience is required.
Maybe you have always wanted to crochet but did not know where to begin. Maybe you have watched tutorials and still wondered where your hook was supposed to go. Or perhaps you learned years ago and would benefit from a friendly refresher. Wherever you are starting, you are welcome to join us.
During this two-hour beginner crochet class, Dasha from Dash of Creativity will guide you through the basics one step at a time. You will have plenty of time to practice, ask questions, and receive individual guidance as you begin your first project.
Crochet can take patience at first, but you do not have to figure it out alone. We will slow everything down, work through each step together, and recognize the small victories, from making your first stitch to watching your project begin to take shape.

A Creative Outing at York Beach Beer Company
Spend time creating, learning, and connecting with other local crafters in the welcoming tasting room at York Beach Beer Company. Craft beer and other available beverages may be purchased directly from the brewery during the event. Drinks are not included with workshop admission.
Come on your own and meet new people, bring a friend for a creative outing, or gather a group for a different kind of winter activity in York Beach. You are welcome to chat and socialize while you work, or settle in and focus on learning something new.
You may arrive as a complete beginner, but you will leave with new crochet skills, your own hook and materials, a project in progress, and a clearer understanding of how to continue crocheting at home.
Minimum Enrollment and Refund Policy
A minimum of five participants is required for the workshop to run. If minimum enrollment is not met, the workshop may be canceled or rescheduled. If Dash of Creativity cancels the workshop, all registered participants will receive a full refund.
Participant Cancellations
Refunds are available for cancellations made at least seven days before the workshop. Because materials are purchased and prepared in advance for each participant, tickets are nonrefundable within seven days of the event and are not transferable.
About Your Instructor
Dasha Randlett is the founder of Dash of Creativity and a New Hampshire-based fiber arts instructor with five years of experience teaching creative workshops throughout New England.
She specializes in beginner-friendly crochet, macramé, cross stitch, embroidery, and other hands-on projects. Her workshops are relaxed, approachable, and designed to make learning a new craft feel enjoyable rather than intimidating.
Whether you have never picked up a crochet hook or have tried a few times and would benefit from personal guidance, there is a seat for you at the table.
