27-year-old Soraya is just trying to pass her toughest class in law school, but with a new flame on the horizon and friendships hemorrhaging, the fate of her scholarship lingers in the balance.
First year law school student, Soraya, is used to being the friend who always has it together. Sweet, determined, and compassionate. The friend who is usually able to balance being at the top of her class and the first person in the kitchen prepping joints for her folx on “Wellness Wednesdayssss”. But what happens when a new romantic interest is thrown into the mix during her toughest school semester? Will Soraya be able to juggle it all?
H O M E G R O W N is a beautiful story that centers black queerness and chosen family in the south. Planted in metro Atlanta, H O M E G R O W N follows Soraya and her friends, Ash and Andrea, as they navigate being twenty-somethings, their identities, friendship, life, and reconciling with the past.
