Back for 2026; our Home Education Days.*New format for 2026*
We’re excited to announce that our Home Education program is back, but with a new format for this year!
Join us for a designated day of activities, where the focus is learning at your own pace, whilst having the opportunity to visit our whole programme of events designed just for Home Educated families.
Running this year across a day rather than a designated time slot, families can discover the monkeys in their natural environment whilst working towards pre-planned activities using our downloadable packs.
What’s involved in the day?
Learn at your own pace, by exploring the forest at your own speed.Sign on to one of our workshops through the day to get some more in depth understandingVisit our exploration station to get hands on with some Barbary macaque related biofactsMeet an Educator in the forest to learn about Barbary macaque behaviours
Each participant will get access to a learning pack for them to work towards on their visit
Who is this suitable for?
*All Home Educated learners, aged 5-16 years.
*Younger siblings may attend, but may not benefit from these activities. Children 2 and under will still need to obtain an Under 2 free child's day ticket, children from 3-5 years will need a child day ticket, which can be purchased online or on the day.
* Spaces on each workshop are limited to 25, so make sure to book your workshop slot to avoid missing out
* Booking is required for each Home Education Day you wish to attend.
* We understand that things can change, and you may not be able to visit on the day, but please do let us know in advance if you cannot attend. Non-attendance on 2 consecutive days with no notice will not be tolerated. This limits other families from attending, as we cannot hold a waiting list.
Time: 10.30am - 2.30pm
Cost: £15.50 for 1 child and accompanying adult.
£9 for additional children.
Venue: Trentham Monkey Forest

Please note: Children must always be supervised - no children allowed by themselves in the Forest Enclosure.
