How does a criminologist become a jam maker? Let Mel spill the beans (and maybe a few berries) as she shares the unexpected twists that led her from case files to chutney jars. She’ll be demonstrating the art while talking through the process. She stirs in plenty of humour, and kitchen wisdom along the way.Right before your eyes, Mel will prep and bottle one of her much‑loved preserves, peppering the demo with generous helpings of laughter and practical advice. There’ll even be time at the end for curious cooks to ask questions.
With time to socialise, the monthly raffle and refreshments included, the Hive will be buzzing with energy and enthusiasm for this very special speaker. To round off the evening, Mel will sell her incredible jams, chutneys, spreads and sauces — with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Stroke Association.
