Design, build and program underwater robots in an exciting week-long workshop exploring robotics and AI.
About this Event

Spend a week diving into the exciting world of robotics and artificial intelligence in this hands-on holiday workshop.
Guided by experts Rustam Stolkin and Peter Brewer, participants will explore both mechanical and computational aspects of robotics. Along the way, they'll discover how robots are used in real-world settings, from industry to cutting-edge research, drawing inspiration from the latest developments in the field.
Across the week, participants will work in teams to invent, design, build, program and demonstrate their own remote-controlled underwater retrieval robot.
Interactive build sessions are combined with short, engaging talks and group discussions, introducing key ideas in robotics and AI, as well as exploring the mathematics, physics, engineering and computing that underpin the work participants will be doing throughout the week.

For young people who have just completed Years 11, 12 and 13 this term - please book based on their current/most recent school year, not their new year group from September. This typically corresponds to children aged around 15-18 years old. We reserve the right to refund or deny entry to those who are not in the correct year group.

Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (14 calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
