Are you a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or SLP interested in incorporating hippotherapy into your practice?Join us for an informative talk and live demonstration exploring how hippotherapy can be effectively integrated into therapy plans to support improved functional outcomes.
Who should attend?
Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Therapy students and clinical educators, Speech-Language Pathologist, and Allied health professionals interested in equine-assisted therapy.
The Session will cover:
- Education and training pathways required to incorporate hippotherapy into therapy practice.
- Common challenges and barriers to providing hippotherapy in the Canadian context.
- Opportunities for international education, mentorship, and networking.
- Strategies to strengthen collaboration between therapists and therapeutic riding instructors.
- Improving service accessibility and client outcomes through interdisciplinary teamwork.
