In partnership with the Kamloops Regional Farmers' Market and the Kamloops Art Gallery, join us for a fun afternoon of crafting and art-making for the upcoming Pollinator Festival on May 9 and May 16.
Every year, the Kamloops Farmers' Market hosts a Pollinator Festival mid-May to celebrate our native plants and native pollinators, as well as all out other pollinating friends that help our food crops grow over the summer. If not for all these important creatures, we wouldn't have the variety of delicious produce to harvest, cook, eat, and share all growing season!
Since 2022, the Farmers' Market has been holding an annual parade to celebrate pollinators, and it has been growing each year. This year, we're teaming up with community partners like the Kamloops Art Gallery and the Stínesten Gallery to make props, signs, hats, and other crafty items to celebrate spring!
Basic craft material will be provided to all participants, but if you have a specific idea in mind for creating, please feel free to bring your own materials with you!
This workshop has a sliding price scale available in hopes to be more accessible to the public:
Explore — $5
A low-cost option to help make exploring the arts easier for all members of the community.
Practice — $15
A balanced contribution that supports the workshop while keeping things within reach.
Study — $30
For those who are able to give more—helps sustain the program and expand access for others.
