Heritage Trees Bike Tour
About this Event
Join us for a relaxing bike tour through Long Branch, beginning at the south end of Twenty Third Street (at the Lake Promenade intersection) on Saturday, July 25th at 10:00 AM. Along the route, you’ll visit all of Long Branch’s beautiful Heritage Trees and discover the incredible stories behind each one. 🌳🌳🌳
Did you know? Long Branch is home to 4 of Toronto’s 15 Heritage Trees!
Heritage Trees are designated by Forests Canada and the Ontario Urban Forest Council and receive special recognition and protection from the Province of Ontario and the City of Toronto. These trees are celebrated for their exceptional age, size, rarity, and important cultural, social, and historical connections.
Learn about the history of Long Branch, the people and places that shaped the neighbourhood, and the mature trees that continue to make it such a special part of Toronto today.
Registration is free thanks to funding provided through a Community Planting & Stewardship Grant from the City of Toronto.
