Heritage Day is a celebration of one of the first three readings of the Declaration of Independence, which took place in Trenton, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, and Easton, PA on July 8, 1776.Heritage Day is one part history and culture festival and another part block party and music festival. Featuring a wide variety of historical exhibitors and reenactments that showcase local, regional, and national history, as well as a full-scale music festival and block party in the afternoon, Heritage Day is a unique day-long, family-friendly event with something for everyone.
2026 is an extra special year for Heritage Day given that it is the 250th anniversary of the founding of America and Easton's important role in that moment.
