This class will cover the basics of herbalism - what is it exactly? why should we learn it? what's its history? different preparations of herbs. etc. We'll cover a few of the most well known herbs and their uses.
I personally believe hands on lessons stick better so all of my classes will be hands on that will enable you to make something to take home. This first class will start with what I started with - tea blending. I will provide a variety of different herbs great for teas and explain what each is good for medicinally and you'll be able to taste each so you can come up with a blend according to your own tastes. We'll focus more on taste rather than medicinal properties at this class and revisit medicinal teas at a later class once you've gained more knowledge, also because some medicinal teas just don't taste great and I want you to enjoy what you are drinking.
Herbal based snacks will be provided as well a variety of my own tea blends with various sweeteners to choose from. Feel free to bring another drink if tea is not your thing.
