Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based, early-intervention course that trains participants to notice the observable and unobservable signs of mental health or substance use challenges and provide immediate assistance in acute or crisis situations. "First Aiders" are taught an action plan to proactively and ethically address challenges. The event will interactively develop trainees' understanding of pressing mental health challenges of youth/young adults and raise confidence for ethically aiding those in distress or crisis. This is a MUST HAVE training for anyone! One in 5 teens and young adults live with a mental health condition, with 75% of mental illnesses diagnosed by the age of 25.
