Herbal Explorers: Lunar Infusions

Herbal Explorers: Lunar Infusions 🌙🌿
What happens when you make tea without heat?
Join us for a hands-on Herbal Explorers adventure where children will discover what happens when plants meet cold water, time, and moonlight.
Through touch, smell, taste, observation, and experimentation, we’ll explore how different herbs behave in cold water—watching colors emerge, scents release, textures change, and dried plants begin to soften and transform.
Along the way, we’ll explore some of the stories, folklore, and traditional associations carried by the plants we meet. Children will use their senses, observations, and the meanings that resonate with them to decide which herbs belong in their own creation.
🌙 Each participant will create and name their own Lunar Infusion—a custom herbal tea blend to take home and steep beneath the moonlight.
They’ll also receive a Lunar Herb worksheet to guide their choices during the workshop and provide brewing instructions for completing their infusion at home.
✨ Designed primarily for ages 5–12
Younger children are welcome with additional grown-up support.
🌿 First Participant — $18
🌿 Additional Child or Parent Participants — $15 each
Parents/caregivers are welcome to participate and create their own infusion, too.
If weather and conditions cooperate, we’ll finish our evening by stepping outside for a short moon peek together. The workshop itself takes place indoors, so cloudy skies or winter weather won’t stop the experience.
Come experiment with plants, discover the stories they carry, and create a little something to leave beneath the moon. 🌙
