The Heart Sutra was spoken by Buddha Shakyamuni over 2600 years ago and has been studied and practiced ever since by generation after generation of meditators leading countless to liberation and enlightenment. The Heart Sutra, or Perfection of Wisdom sutra, reveals the true nature of reality.
Through contemplating the meaning of emptiness in this precious Mahayana text, we too will gain meaningful insights and in this way, we will make significant progress on the path to lasting mental freedom and joy.
Gen Kelsang Kunden will present the Heart Sutra teachings given by Venerable Geshe Kelsang in Portugal in 2013 as well as commentary from this year’s Summer Festival in the UK.
Each session will consist of short teachings, prayers and meditations with refreshments between sessions.
