Meets Friday, 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.Grief is hard and can even be painful work, but it is not something to be avoided or denied. Grief is a vital and healthy process that honors loved ones and helps us to understand the importance a person held in our life. During this retreat of remembrance, you will explore the extent of your loss and pain, moving toward acceptance, and make a piece of art to honor your loved one. You’ll be guided through reflections and meditations on the beauty and complexity of relationships with a person who has died, and have the space to honor your loved one as you embrace the reality of deep feelings of grief.
Note: Please bring something you would like to incorporate into your artwork, such as a piece of jewelry, photo, keychain, coins, a letter, tie clip, dried flowers or an image that reminds you of the person. If you don’t have anything, we will have items for you to work with.
