This series of workshops explores images from the “Canticle of the Creatures” by St. Francis of Assisi using Zendala tiles. It is for anyone who likes to explore their world through creativity. Using simple and repetitive strokes, The Zentangle Method is a creative and enjoyable way to focus, calm the mind and cultivate compassion for oneself and others while creating beautiful abstract art. Many people have found that creating art has a positive impact on their mental health. A regular practice of creating art relieves stress, increases confidence and supports general mental well-being. Discover your inner artist – no previous art experience is necessary.A NOTE ABOUT SUPPLIES:
IN-PERSON: Zendala tiles will be provided for each session. You may purchase a Sakura pen, tortillon, Zentangle pencil and Gelly Roll pen at the FSC for $8. Colored pencils also will be available to use.
ZOOM: On your own, you will need to purchase: Sakura Pigma Micron 03 pen (black), graphite pencil, smudger/tortillon, 117 mm diameter circle of mixed media paper or Zendala tile, Gelly Roll pen of your choice. You also might want to purchase colored pencils. Supplies can be purchased at www.Zentangle.com or any craft store.
