Dormouse Awareness

This session will take you through how to identify the habitats of dormice and the signs of dormouse activity. During this workshop with a Wildlife Trust South West Wales officer we will learn about suitable dormouse habitats and the surveying methods that can be used to track them.

After this training there is an opportunity to participate in our 3-month survey which will take place over the summer, we need volunteers to help us collect data. These results feed back into important data collection for an endangered species.

This is an outdoor event so please wear suitable shoes and clothing.

All ages and abilities welcome but please let us know if you need any particular support.

Location: Plymouth Great Woods

Meeting near the entrance to the woods at: 81 Frank Road.

We encourage you to walk, cycle or take public transport to the site.

If you are no longer able to make the event, please cancel your ticket to enable others to attend. Due to a recent increase of sold out tickets followed by no-shows we are unfortunately going to have to enforce stricter attendance rules. If an atendee misses an event without notice three times we will no longer accept your booking. Cancellations with notice will not be treated in this manner, thank you for understanding.

Ar ôl yr hyfforddiant hwn mae cyfle i gymryd rhan yn ein harolwg 3 mis a fydd yn cael ei gynnal dros yr haf gan y bydd angen gwirfoddolwyr arnom i’n helpu i gasglu data. Defnyddir y canlyniadau hyn wrth gasglu data pwysig ar gyfer rhywogaeth sydd mewn perygl.

Bydd y digwyddiad hwn yn yr awyr agored, felly gwisgwch esgidiau a dillad addas.
