Part of Hair Raiser Tours’ Haunted Heritage Festival | October 2025
Step into the shadows this October as we celebrate 50 million steps into the unknown. Haunted Heritage brings Otago’s hidden and haunted secrets to life in a month of chilling tours and anniversary events.
In this special afternoon walk, Andrew Smith – historian, New Zealand’s original ghost guide, and pioneer of dark tourism – returns to where his journey first began. With lantern set aside for daylight, Andrew invites you to stroll through the Northern Cemetery and meet a few of his favourite ghostly companions.
As part of this unique tour, you’ll also visit the Andrew Smith Heritage Rose Collection – a living tribute planted among the gravestones.Take a moment to stop and smell the roses, even as the spirits stir all around.
🎟 Bookings essential – limited spaces available.
Reserve your place now.
