Gulf Bend Center's Build Your Own Crisis Kit Event

Gulf Bend Center is excited to host the “Build Your Own Crisis Kit” event in partnership with The Vine School. This free event is open to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or Autism of any age. Only the individual with IDD/Autism needs to be registered.

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to build their own crisis kits, which will include items such as a backpack, resource folder, first aid kit, and sensory tools. Afterward, participants can take part in a Meet & Greet with officers from the Victoria Police Department.

Additionally, participants can enroll in the VPD Jacket Program, which includes registration in the notification system and a photo. The event will also feature a small resource fair, where attendees can connect with local agencies and gather valuable information about available services and resources.
