Guided Wildlife Walk on Cumbernauld's Green Route

Session Activity

Join us for a gentle stroll along Cumbernauld's Green Route. We'll walk through the heart of the town, looking for wildlife that lives right amoungst us. You don't have to travel far to experience nature, sometimes it's right on your doorstep!

As always, there will be a tea break on route, a great opportunity to chat to others!

Engaging with nature helps people live happier, healthier, lives - and as this is part of the Nurturing Natural Connections project, there is the added benefit of helping nature too.

Our wellbeing in nature walks take place every Thursday afternoon in Cumbernauld. The exact location, and the content of the walk will change each week, but they are designed to be accessible to both beginners and seasoned nature lovers.

Every walk will take between two to three hours and will cover 2000 to 5000 steps. They will be taken at a gentle pace - it's not about covering distance, or getting from A to B, it's about slowing down, taking notice of nature, and connecting with the community.

All equipment provided. We have a small number of waterproof jackets available to borrow. If you would like one, please email [email protected] and we will bring one along for you.

These sessions will be run by Paul, our Natural Benefits Officer, hosted by TCV Scotland.

Cancellation
This event will be weather dependant. If we need to cancel, we will notify all attendees on the morning of the event via email. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather.

If you can no longer attend the event, please let us know. You can do this by cancelling your ticket, or sending us an email. This helps us keep track of who to expect, and whether we need to wait for anyone who is running late.
