Our spoken word community's free monthly night - open to poets, comedians, storytellers, people who want to read or perform pretty much anything. Great crowd for welcoming & supporting artists new or old from all walks of life - although if you just want to come & listen that's more than welcome too. We have no performance rules apart from max 3 pieces or 5 minutes limit per person; no censorship requirement but you should include content warnings when dealing with sensitive issues.Venue is dog friendly & wheelchair accessible - please let us know if you have accessibility needs so we can accommodate.
Please arrive well before 8 if you want a guaranteed seat and/or performance slot. We'll generally be finished by 10ish but a few folks may stick around for further literary merriment afterwards (until last orders when we get kicked out of the pub).
Guerrilla prides itself on being an inclusive safe space: sexism, racism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, ageism & other exclusionary antisocial behaviours will not be tolerated.
