*TICKETING & DOOR POLICY*
Whilst we occasionally run ticketed Friday Night Specials, entry for our regular weekly Thursday club nights is on a first-come-first-served basis and unticketed and we do not take advanced seat bookings.
Entry for regular club nights is free, we pay our guests by way of a *CASH* collection. Whilst we understand that some simply haven't the means to make a contribution and absolutely DO NOT wish to exclude them, we expect those who can to make as generous a donation as they are able in recognition of our guest's work.
*PLEASE CHECK FOR UPDATES BEFORE SETTING OUT*
Life is full of unexpected ups and downs, illness, weather and other unexpected things can spoil the best made plans. We may sometimes have to change our guest at short notice, or even cancel an evening altogether. To avoid disappointment please re-visit the relevant night's event for updates *BEFORE* setting out.
*REBECCA HEARNE
Rebecca L Hearne is a folk singer and performer from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and comes from a long line of Celtic and English musical performers. Inspired by traditional folk music from the British Isles and beyond, Rebecca blends straightforward acapella vocal performance with contemporary pop music and electronica, academic research, and principles of mythology, folklore, and magic to create a truly enchanting sensory experience.
Rebecca creates primarily vocal music and sounds with occasional accompaniment from traditional and contemporary instruments, electronics, and other objects. She blends English, Irish, Scottish and global folk songs with contemporary influences to create mesmerising performances punctuated with charisma, wit, and sparkle, resulting in a sparkling and transcendent atmosphere of bacchanalian warmth and chaos.
Rebecca has created music for the BBC, performed for AHRC-funded audio and visual media projects, made soundtracks for British installation artist Anthony Bennett, and performed on the main stage at Cambridge Folk Festival as part of Nancy Kerr and James Fagan’s …And Friends in 2018. She is currently working on her first album.
