Join us for an evening of remembrance, connection, and hope as we honor those we have lost to overdose and stand together in support of recovery.
International Overdose Awareness Day is a time to remember loved ones, reduce the stigma surrounding substance use disorder, and remind those who are struggling that they are not alone. Whether you have experienced loss, are in recovery, support someone you love, or simply want to stand with your community, you are welcome.
📅 August 27th
🕠 5:30 PM
📍Unitarian Universalist Church
333 Dubois Rd
Annapolis, MD 21401
The evening will feature inspiring speakers and performances, including:
• DJ Swick – Person in recovery from Lighthouse Church, sharing his powerful story of hope and resilience.
• Meghan Jarvis – Author, clinician, two-time TEDx speaker, and nationally recognized grief expert.
• Joseph Greene – Spoken word poet, advocate, educator, and storyteller.
• Dana Koch – Local musician providing a moving musical performance.
Together, we will honor lives, share hope, and recognize that healing happens in community. Through stories, music, and reflection, we remember those we've lost, celebrate recovery, and reaffirm that every life matters.
💜 All are welcome. You are not alone.
