About this Event

Join the Sisters in Public Health for a morning of service as we partner to restore the natural beauty of West Cascade Park. This hands-on volunteer event highlights the connection between environmental health and public health by helping remove invasive plant species, improve local biodiversity, and create healthier green spaces for the community. Healthy forests contribute to cleaner air, cooler neighborhoods, improved mental well-being, and safer recreational spaces—making environmental stewardship an important part of public health. Together, we'll help protect and restore this urban forest while learning about the impact of green spaces on community health.

All volunteers must also register with the host here.

Volunteer activities include:
Removing invasive plants such as English ivy, Chinese privet, and kudzu
Supporting native plant growth and wildlife habitat
Promoting healthier, more sustainable urban green spaces
