About this Event
Originally from Morowaya, Guinea, Conde served as the Lead Soloist of Les Percussions de Guinée, Guinea's National Ballet, for over a decade. A dedicated educator, he has taught around the world, including a tenure as full-time Visiting Artist at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2008 to 2011. He recently returned from an extended engagement in China.
What you'll learn:
Authentic West African rhythms, foundational and advanced hand technique, solo phrasing, and cultural context rooted in the Malinke tradition. All levels are welcome.
