About this Event

Streets do more than move us. They shape how we live, who we protect, and what we value.

Join Good Trouble Conversations for a screening of Changing Lanes, a powerful documentary that follows one community’s fight to reclaim a dangerous street in Brooklyn and speaks to the broader struggle for safer, more just streets everywhere.

Though rooted in Brooklyn, the questions this film raises echo in cities like Denver, where communities continue to fight for safer streets and more just public spaces.

For many, the way we move through our cities shapes our safety, our access, and our sense of belonging.

After the film, stay for a conversation with filmmaker Ben Wolf, Jill Locantore (Executive Director, Denver Streets Partnership), Dr. Wes Marshall (Professor of Civil Engineering, CU Denver), and Mike King (Transportation Safety Specialist). Together, we will reflect on transportation justice, public safety, and the power communities have to shape the places they call home.

Come listen, reflect, and imagine what it could look like to build streets and cities that care for people.

Free and open to students, faculty, staff, and community members.
