GNAR NIGHTS
About this Event
GNAR NIGHTS is a monthly gathering in Denver for anyone who loves the outdoors, good stories, and a reason to get off the couch on a weeknight. We screen short outdoor films — surf, skate, climbing, adventure, all of it — paired with an open mic where anyone in the room can share a story on that night's theme. No experience needed to grab the mic. It's always free, always casual, and always about the community in the room as much as what's on the screen.
This month, we're wrapping up the summer season with two films that hit close to home for us: stories about who gets to ride, who gets to belong, and who shows people the way in.
🏄 We The Surfers (Liberia) — Inside the Robertsport Surf Club, where surfing is less about the trick and more about the togetherness it builds.
🛹 ImillaSkate (Bolivia) — Cholita skaters riding in traditional polleras, reclaiming space and pride one line at a time.
🎤 Open mic theme: "Who Taught You" — Tell us about the person who put you on a board, a trail, a wave, or a path. Keep it under 5 minutes. Sign up at the mic.
