About this Event
Join us for an evening of immersive Gong Sound Immersion in Yaletown!
We'll start our gathering with Intention Setting and a brief Guided Breathwork practice, which will serve to down-regulate the nervous system. The Breathwork transitions into a guided Yoga Nidra. Also known as Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR), it is a powerful meditation technique for moving awareness from the external world to the internal. Through a methodical practice of directed steps, it helps slow down thought flow, allowing the brain and body to rest deeply and experience restorative benefits. As the body enters this calmer state, brain waves decrease in frequency and the parasympathetic nervous system is activated. This releases unwanted tension from the body, allows one’s muscles to relax, and achieves a state of deep calm.
We will then be immersed in the full spectrum of frequencies and vibrations of a gong bath by Theta Space. The main Gongs featured during the jounrey will the massive 38-inch Pure Titanium Sun Dance Gong and the 38-inch Paiste Planetary Sun Gong. In addition, two other big, unique gongs - a 32-inch Spiral Sufi Ammonite Gong and a 34-inch Blue Moon Gong - will add more layers and richness to the soundscape. As the vibrations and ethereal sounds of the two Sun Gongs wash over, they guide you into a state of deep relaxation and inner space exploration.
Our intention for this sound and vibrational journey is to ensure that you feel safe and relaxed throughout the entire experience, so you can go on an inner space exploration journey with the help of experienced facilitators.
