From monumental sculptural forms suspended in the gallery’s Atrium to exquisitely crafted kites from around the world, Art In the Sky celebrates the unique moment when art leaves the ground and enters the air.

The Swansea Open is an annual art competition open to anyone who lives or works in the City & County of Swansea (SA1-SA9) and is a celebration of art and craft from artists and makers throughout the city.
Frances Anderson’s mini kite workshop

Create a mini working kite using exhibiting artist Frances Anderson’s bespoke kite design, led by the gallery’s learning team.
Self-Led Activity - Cardboard-Copperopolis
Learn how Swansea had changed over the years, then design and make your own cardboard Boat, Factory, Robot or feature to add to our reimagined Victorian Swansea Valley – at the height of Swansea Industrial past, when the world knew us as “COPPEROPOLIS”!
Parental supervision required for under 10’s
Recommended for Ages 4+
