Join the for a workshop with narrative illustrator Chris Harrendence.
The use of animal characteristics (anthropomorphism) in imagery has been used for millennia. Just think of those ancient Egyptians and their hawk-headed deities.
Character design is a useful skill to have in the illustrator’s toolbox.
In this workshop, narrative illustrator Chris Harrendence will take you on a journey on how to give personality to a petulant python or how to make a lazy lemur laugh (through the power of illustration only, as Chris has never made an actual lemur laugh).
In this workshop you will work through a series of thumbnails to develop your ideas and give personality to your chosen characters. These initial concepts will then be developed further into a final piece of illustration.
All skill levels are welcome. Bring along paper and your favourite drawing tools.
