Illyria brings a charming performance of Pinocchio to the stunning setting of Oystermouth Castle for a magical afternoon of outdoor theatre. Join us at 2pm on 27 August 2026 for this heartwarming tale under the open sky.
About the show:
A wooden puppet runs away, hoping to find fun and adventure, but instead finds demanding bosses, con-artists and peer-pressure. Bombarded by money, games and other attention-grabbing attractions, how can Pinocchio ever become a real boy when even lies told to cover up awkward truths are as plain as the nose on his face?
This performance is presented by Swansea Council in association with Day's Peugeot.
Our historic castle provides a stunning backdrop for outdoor theatre. Bring your own chairs, blankets, food, and drinks, and settle in for a relaxed evening under the open sky. Food and drinks will also be available to purchase, along with deckchairs available for hire.
