About this Event

In response to the Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival 2026 theme, 'Glasgow Goes Out: The Places That Made Us,' join The Mackintosh Tearooms learning team for a discursive building tour about your memories of the property, its changing roles over the 20th century and your hopes for the role it will play in 21st century Glasgow.

Each tour grants access to all areas of our historic tearooms and will offer guests a chance to feed into current community consultation for Mackintosh Illuminated, the National Trust for Scotland's ambitious five-year project to preserve, protect and promote the built heritage of Mackintosh and Macdonald, as well as their legacy.

During the afternoon of both Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September, guests will also be offered the opportunity to try out our new self-led tour of the property and on-site exhibition.
