in this untraditioanal life drawing session, we will bring together music and art by capturing the performance. movement, cables, sound, we will listen and engage with the gig in different ways to capture the performance.
performing for us will be folk art musician Mari Mathias, best known for Integrating voices from her ancient Celtic past in Cymru/Wales into her music
Mari Mathias, creates mystical behaviour driven by language, landscape & tradition and has gained “a growing reputation as one of the rising stars of the modern Welsh folk scene” -
some drawing materials provided, but please bring your prefered materials!

What happens when you draw at a gig?
Instead of simply watching, you begin to really look. You notice the shape of a hand, the rhythm of a gesture, the way light falls across a face, the space between musicians, the atmosphere in the room. Drawing slows you down and deepens your attention. Like life drawing, it's less about making a perfect picture and more about practising presence.
